I set up Apache and PHP4 following the instructions that I was given... but
when I try to save my files as filename.php for example... it calls them
filename.php.txt I can't understand this... and I cannot open any of these
files then on my computer, they just come up on Notepad.

I installed both Apache and PHP to my computer and followed all the

Hey Folks,
I'm sure I've got a simple config prob, .. Apache 2 , PHP 4.2 .. when I
try to run a .php file in my browser I get an internal server error 500
.. "Premature end of script headers: php.exe" .. any ideas?

Thanks to all who have tried to help me.
After battling for a couple of days now to get this going, I have
reinstalled the latest versions of Apache and PHP. I no longer get the
same problems, but a new one:
PHP does not seem to execute. When running php.exe from DOS prompt I get
