I am running Apache on Win 2000 and am trying to install PHP on it. I've used the PHP
installer and have configured my httpd.conf file to recognize the php mime type.
I am using localhost or 127.0.0.1 to do this since I don't have a box that is online.

you are right, I had liborbit0 from the Debian distribution installed. I
removed it and didn't got that last mentioned warning.
But nevertheless httpd didn't start.
Could you be so kind to have a look on the strace attached? Did this
says something to you?

I got this too, few hour ago. I found, that in corba_defs.h, which is
generated by orbit-idl, some linebreaks are missed. Search for ;#endif
and insert a linebreak between the ; and the #.
Then re-run make.

I have installed mhash and libmcrypt (and mcrypt, for that matter),
configured php with both of the extensions, and compiled PHP (as a DSO), and
apache gives the following error when I attempt to start it:

and then after typing "make" I get the following error:
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lxmltok
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [libphp4.la] error 1
make[1]: leaving directory »/usr/local/src/lamp/php-4.0.4p
I have a question here, when I make Apache in Solaris 2.5 environment I got
the error that I state below. Could anyone let me know how can overcome such
a problem ? For your information, I compile my php with oracle database.
