sorry forgot to say that I've tried to locate the unix.h file in other
distribs etc but wif no luck

Hiya,
I'm new to installing php onto unix i can get the ./configure command to run
with out error (well any that are obvious)
but when i do the make it comes up with
# make
Making all in Zend
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/local/php-4.2.1/Zend'
/bin/sh ../libtool --silent --mode=compile
gcc -
