I assume you mean PHP 4.0.4pl1 I would go grab a recent snapshot from http://snaps.php.net and see if that solves the problem. If it doesn't, let us know and we can try to track it down. If it does then it is obviously an issue that has been fixed and you can either just stick with the snapshot
