[PHP] Safe mode Problem

How can I disable the Safe Mode for a php 4.3.2 compiled on linux with --enable-safe-mode. The problem is I can't touch the machine so I can't test if I change the setting in the php.ini it just ignore the flag and I don't have the posibility to reproduce this on my server. Even a link to whe
