problem. Becuase I can return some value like ' fileready == true' as the
output from the executable program. And when fileready is true I can read

In one script I use exec() to execute a shell script which takes 2-3
hours to run. I disabled user abort and set time limit to more than one
day. The shell script finishes well but no instruction after exec() is
run. The script finishes with no error nor warnings.

You might be able to use them through (D)COM objects, since you're on an NT
server. I'm not sure about the passthrough() functions and stuff on NT,
though... I've never really used them (or had reason to).

functions like passthru(), exec() and system().
I´ve got PHP4 installed on IIS 5.0 on Windows 2000
Server, and it works fine.
