Hi!
I want to parse, search, manipulate and save XML document in Pharo. What
libraries are the best to use?
I want to do search operations like, all elements named with attribute
named.
And I want to do manipulation like, put between parent element and his
child elements a new element.
Thank you
This is really nice. I hope it will reach people who develop webapps in
ruby/php/java or whatever.

Basically I would agree. But it isn't as easy at this. If you say "an X display

Hi Sven,
yes, guides is nice, and I'll try to make something with Zinc + Amber. But my
main idea is to create something like a Stack of technologies that is easy to
use. Like Rails.

Ok. I tested PharoS with 1GB and I got a 800MB image running well.
Is there really no chance of getting Cog with this feature? :)

I am trying the vm now, and I have a couple of issues:
- Why is the executable named PharoS instead of Pharo?
- There is no .ini file in the archive. In the older one, I have the
following contents in the Pharo.ini:
[Global]
DeferUpdate=1
ShowConsole=0
DynamicConsole=1
ReduceCPUUsage=1
ReduceCPUInB
So, yeah. You should enter user and password. You can do this by right-clicking
a repository end selecting edit.

Hi Sven,
thank you a LOT. To be honest I was thinking about improving Pharo's glory
around the web and a decent tutorial was the first step. I'll go through it
today-tomorow and may have more feedback, but for now maybe we can cooperate on
the idea of making a development with Pharo popular.

I wrote a new tutorial, "Building and deploying your first web app with Pharo -
Understanding HTTP fundamentals through Zinc HTTP Components".
By chronologically following the development process, you will see a small web
app growing from something trivial to the final result. Finally, we

Any chance to get SerialPlugin working in Pharo 2.0 under Debian?
I tried to follow the instructions in

didn't succeed. The second step already failed giving me the folowing error:

I'm just wondering if it is possible in smalltalkhub to make a repository world

there is no panel in 2.0
You need to start the adapter by hand in a workspace.
I made a HOSeaside package in Smalltalkhub (user philippeback) with such a
thing in the world menu and settings for the port.

Hi,
you do not have Seaside Control Panel in Pharo 2.
Instead, to activate/deactivate Seaside you need to execute.
ZnZincServerAdaptor startOn: 7070.
and
ZnZincServerAdaptor stop.
cheers,
