In view of some rather important recent fixes such as commits
bf7ced5e2dc8622f and 301cc3549c29aaa5, the release team has decided
that it'd be a good thing to schedule a set of minor releases in
the near future. The nearest convenient time seems to be week after

The PG core team has agreed that it's about time to push out new minor
releases, since work has finished on repairing the known issues around
9.3's multixact code. We have scheduled this for next week (ie, wrap this
coming Monday, July 21, for announcement Thursday 7/24).
We will push 9.4beta2 al

We're about due for a new set of back-branch update releases. After
some discussion among the packagers, it seems the best window for
getting this done before the holiday season sets in is next week.
Also, as previously mentioned, we're experimenting with weekday

We are going to prepare back-branch update releases to take care of
a couple of minor security issues that have been waiting much too
long already. The schedule will be a bit unusual though: wrap tarballs
this Tuesday evening (that's tomorrow) for public announcement Friday
the 17th.

It's been almost three months since our last minor releases, and we've
accumulated enough fixes to justify a new set of updates. The core team
is planning to wrap new tarballs next Thursday for release Monday 3/15.
If you've got any pending back-branch fixes, get 'em in soon.
It seems to be about time to put out 8.2.1, since the flow of new bug
reports has ebbed. We're also overdue for updates of the back branches
--- for instance, we recently realized that the current 8.0.x and 8.1.x
releases don't know about the Canadian DST changes coming into effect in

It'd still be a good idea to put in some redirects to make those old
URLs do something again.

My recollection is that that change was way too invasive to be
reasonable for a back-port. The solutions used for circular reference
situations (various ALTER commands) probably don't exist very far back
anyway.
