I use Dave Page's one-click installers for Mac OS X:

I recently installed PostgreSQL 9.0.0 on Mac OS X 10.5.8. PL/perl will
not load because it is looking for Perl 5.10 in the System dirs and I
only have 5.8.8:
$ ./createlang
