differently. It should
have given an error about not restoring the primary key. ( Maybe it would even
be preferrable if
it refused to do this incomplete restore).

That's a somewhat insular view.
That PostgreSQL so easily encompasses Loxodonta and Elephas as members of
Proboscidea [1] is a
feature, not a b
patches available.
(Perhaps these two
patches are already usable against backbranches; I would have tried but I
cannot build lower than
9.2 at the moment; I assume no-one can)
