The postmaster command does not list "--config-file" in its help
although that parameter is understood:
$ /usr/lib/postgresql/9.2/bin/postmaster --help | grep -c config-file
0
$ /usr/lib/postgresql/9.2/bin/postmaster
postgres does not know where to find the server configuration file.

Purged and reinstalled the dev packages (only reinstalled 9.1) and I still
get the same error. The pg_config.h in /usr/include/postgresql/ looks legit:
heroku@ip-10-99-18-64:~/xlogdump$ grep PG_VERSION
/usr/include/postgresql/pg_config.h

I am getting problems with automatic launch of the database.
If service starts with the system, then Network and sharing centre frizzes,
as well as some other applications from the control panel group.
If service is set to the manual start, and launched manually from pgAdmin
III,
