I installed 8.1beta4 on a machine (mac os x 10.4.2). I
have my pg_dump file from my running 8.0.3 server in
the office (os x 10.3.9).
I created a cluster with: initdb --encoding-UNICODE
/path/to/dir
then createdb databasename
psql
