Slightly better, if you are going to compile from source then remove your existing rpms and leave prefix at /usr/local since what you want to avoid is installing this directly into /usr/bin /usr/include /usr/lib. That's the worst of the worlds - mixing non-default stuff in the system /usr area. Oo
