Thanks for getting back to me.
I did uninstall v 8.3 using Add/Remove Programs. For what ever reasons,
the registry keys were never removed.
I used regedit and deleted the registry keys for 8.3 (services and software)
and now pgAdmin does not show the old server names anymore.
