Additional information: it appears that this issue shows up when all of the
data in the row is devoid of carriage return / line feeds. Ie: text is all on

Using the editor to view text columns, it is behaving strangely.
It does not show the text if text is longer than about 4k.
However, if one uses the cursor buttons, the cursor does move about within the
column's data field as if there are characters being displayed.

If I open the Edit Data window for a table, update the contents of a column and
click on another column in the same row, the ‘save’ button becomes blue rather
than grey.

Apologies: I failed to mention that I am using Windows 7 x64 as my workstation
platform. The server is running on a unix variant.
And, yes, there are firewalls in between, that cut off sessions after x amount
of time.

Congrats on the good improvements to pgAdmin.
I do still find that when a connection to the distant postgresql server is
lost, that pgAdmin behaves badly and sometimes even has to be killed and
restarted.
What I see happening is akin to someone disconnecting the ethernet cable.

I'm running pgAdmin on a windows 2008 os.
When the 'view data options' dialog appears to allow me to supply a filter
criteria, I see the 'validate' button, but not any other buttons.
If I drag the lower window frame downwards, only then do I get to see the 'OK'
and 'Cancel' buttons.
