I am on windows and installed pgadmin server side using the pgadmin4-v1-web
package and then use browser to access.
It’s a bit more work but I am happy with pgadmin4 after that.
4 second startup
expanding nodes sub second.
You also have the added benefit of a single install for the network,.

I'm experiencing this as well under MacOS Sierra. Additionally, I am
finding that at times I am unable to scroll in either the Query Tool window
or the results grid. Closing and re-opening pgAdmin 4 restores
functionality.
