I've downloaded the source code for pgadmin3 version 1.6.3, with the
intention of compiling on Ubuntu Dapper. The ./configure script requires
pg_conf in order to execute successfully. The Dapper installation of
postgreSQL-8.1 does not include this file. Is an alternative ./configure

I currently have pgAdmin remember my password. When I get a connection
failure and then try to connect again, I get asked for my password.
Can we get pgAdmin to distinguish between errors due to connection
failure and errors due to the password being wrong and have it realise
it's a network error
