That would not matter so much, unless the installed items are loaded on boot --
or fill the hard drive close to capacity. Hence the original question of which
service to disable.

If your goal is to improve boot time, then the fewer items that are
installed the better. So instead of using an entire distribution of the
OS load what is minimal. You'll have trade offs on what is available
for you to use and features.
Also boot time has alot to do with what hardware you ar
