Hi again!
I've just installed Firefox 1.5 and those images at www.sun.com work
perfectly. So, the problem was not in the X server but in Mozilla that
ships with Solaris and in Firefox 1.0.6.

The release candidates for X11R6.9 are in Solaris now, starting
with 6.9RC2 in Nevada build 28. See the recent post I made to
xwin-discuss for more details:

No, I'm using 'nv' from Xorg. I'll try with Nvidia's driver. Thanks
for the suggestion.

card with the nvidia accelerated driver though, we currently can't take
full advantage of the hardware and lose out on many acceleration opportunties.
Am I the only one having these problems? Could someone please try
www.sun.com and see if the images are being drawn normally, on x86 and
Xorg. If so, what kind of graphics card do you have?
I'm seeing the same sort of behaviour on an IBM ThinkPad R52 - graphics

Hello!
I recently wrote about slow performance of video playback on my Thinkpad
R50 notebook running SX 10/05 x86. In the mean time, I made some other
experiments and here's what I found.
This is not related to playing videos but to simple display of images in
Mozilla. The problem is the m
