Hello,
I have setup dtrace script which is run every 10 minutes:
0,10,20,30,40,50 * * * * /root/bin/sum.sh
(the dtrace script is below).
It runs for 5 min. and saves result in a file (so 5 out of 10 min is recorded)
and records the following data:
dtrace

Hello,
we have been observing some high syscalls (much higher then usually) during
fixed part of week.
DTrace shows that they mostly comes from Oracle:

Hi,
we are using filebench 1.4.8 to test some storage and we got some strange
results.
My collegue found that filebench add file creation time to the final result.
So the first run gives really bad result (since all the files need to be
created)
but following runs give much better results becau

Hi all,
I have encountered mixed opinions regarding which scheduler is
better for OLTP databases (mainly: Oracle). Solaris Internals site
http://www.solarisinternals.com/wiki/index.php/FX_For_Databases
http://www.solarisinternals.com/wiki/index.php/Application_Specific_Tuning#Tuning_Recommendation
Wonderful ! :-)
Thanks Richard !
Any timetable to have this patch as part of filebench ?
Regards

Hi,
while running several storage performance tests using filebench
(OLTP workload), it occurs to me that it would be good to have
ability to put "redo logs" (files used by log writer) on another,
separate filesystem. I know that it is perhaps possible by moving
(and linking) files created by file

Hello,
there is excellent document at Sunsolve released two days ago about vmstat
statistics from DTrace and mdb point of view:
http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-25-85499-1
Does anybody know if it is possible to have access to this document for
not only Sun's customers but anyb
