[perf-discuss] 6Gb RAM used by the kernel ?!

All,   I encounter a perf problem on SUN Sol10 machine, when I used the swapinfo.d tool delivered in DTraceToolKit, I found that the kernel use 6.5 Gb of the 8Gb of RAM, then the machine swap, is this normal ???   Thanks a lot in advance for any help.   ./swapinfo.d RAM  ___Total  8192
