PDML is too active now - which in itself is a good thing - but I have
difficulties in keeping up so I think I´ll have to unsubscribe for awhile.

If you do not drop yours you should be OK - any good repair shop can do a
CLA if the lenses get too sticky - and you are unlikely to need anything
else. If you do not drop them, that is.

The Philips sensor had the same difficulties in the Pentax camera as well -
and, yes the price would have been too high. Pentax had the capability of
producing the camera but not the chip. And it was never introduced or
marketed.

That´s what I heard from Finnish representatives.
And how could same sensor have noise in one camera and not in another?

Hello All,
A friend mentioned to me tha
I have Optio SV now - I had Optio 4i before - and I have a gnawing suspicion
that the earlier camera was better. There´s no way I can prove it but that´s
what I feel. Optio SV makes smaller files. The SV is not bad, either - and
the size gives better grip.
All the best!

Yeah - I have a Nikon vest which is not half bad but the best is the one I
ordered from Chasseur d´Images magazine in France. It´s light.
