Been digging my SMCT Screwmount 500/4.5 a bunch since I've gotten my lens
support issues out of the way.
The biggest hassle I have at the moment is dealing with the screw mount
adapter and my *ist-d. So, I've been thinking about a semi permanent
attachment of the adapter to the lens.

Just got my hands on a Takumar 500/4.5.
My Bogen 3021 tripod with a 3047 pan head will support the thing, but it is
very subject to vibration when focusing and such.
So, I'm wondering what needs replacing to help reduce the vibration? The
whole thing, or just the head or legs?

to get another set of legs.
The 3252 looks like a favorable solution, but I'm curious as to how fast it
is to use when shooting wildlife and such.
