The original Tokina 28-70 Pro is the last zoom that Angenieux made
for SLR, bought and rebadged by Tokina. Further Tokina 28-70 and
28-80 models developped from there I guess.

I like much the Optio MX (and Optio MX4, which is the same but 4MP
instead of 3MP).
Its only real problem is shutter lag, lkike about any digital P&S :(.
Some are a bit better. I remember that the Pentax S5i was among the
best on that aspect.
If focus is done first, lag becomes very short.

28mm its vignetting was caused, they tought, by a "circle" not wide
enough for 24X36. Don't know it this makes sense. Maybe someone

$45. It's a very good lens, a bargain at that price. Focuses well
manually, contrasty/sharp/good rendering, and is very compact and

Komura Telemore is a very good one. Vivitar Macro 2X is also very
good. Both multi-coated.

I just noticed two things about the 28-84mm f4 lens.
First, it is probably a 2.8/4 lens or at least a 3.2/4 as the
aperture automatically closes down from 85mm to 28mm (by a full stop
