OT: black screen time

So I now have the black screen of death on my mid 2010 iMac running OS 10.11.6. Multiple restart try’s the computer turns on but can’t see anything. Call to local reseller/ repair shop suggests the graphic card issue. I have had issues this year with it just randomly turning off. They are looking
