Length of warranty does not have much to do with it, except that you can exchange it if it goes out, but most defective drives will fail in that first year anyway. At one time WD were junky, but they got better. The two 40 gig WD's I have which are now, what, maybe 6-7 years old have never had

Price is a problem for that kind of camera, sure enough. I looked at the L1 and (couldn't test it) I find it really ugly (shiny consumer finish) against the very nice GR/GX finish. Ricoh also has one of those weels I love on SLRs. Too bad Iso performance is only so, so... Extrnal flash possibilit
