Just beware that the S-HMC CPL does not have front thread, only the Pro1
does (also S-HMC, but thinner rim). Pro1 UV is S-HMC with thinner glass and
3mm rim, you might save quite a bit but using the S-HMC UV which has 5mm rim
and regular thickness glass (more protection I guess).

smoothly when pulled rather than pushed. So the technique is to
lightly pull from top to bottom on one side of the dial or other with
your thumb instead of pushing against it. Try it - you'll be

backed up by a link to images, including one showing very good sharpness at
f2.8. After ordering it I saw some comments here indicating that it is soft in

filter. B&H also lists the filter included. I remember there was mentioned
internal filter was part of the system and should be used at all time, but I

because the optical design of the lens requires and takes into account the
fact that a filter is there. filters in front of a lens alter the optical
properties of the system too. it's just that it should be too small to
notice. in the middle, it's a different story.
