Sounds like a great weekend Wendy. I'm taking it you are selling these images
and hence the digital. How did the sales go. I take it well since you are
printing all the 8 by 10s...

Canon has those image stabilizer lenses, like the 28-135mm. You might look
at an older EOS Canon called the EOS-RT. It uses a pellicle mirror so there
is no bouncing mirror mechanism to cause vibration.
You could also use higher ISO films to use a faster shutter speed to
overcome the vibration si

heh..
They didn't even give an exact date, just "August 2003"; that could be
tomorrow.. it could be next week or it could be August 31 - so what makes
you think they're going to tell you all the pertinent details such as lens
functionality etc. ? :-)

I'm with Bill on this one. I found that my original burner (now superseded
with a new one) would baulk at either a large number of files, or
large-sized files, and I had to do the copying in small bites.
If you're using XP, don't forget that you may need to enable burning by

Hi G/w
Hmmm, I've not priced it up yet. It all works with no sticky shutter etc,
so I'm thinking of a ballpark figure roundabout the sort of maybe about
kind of £150 ish. No CLA for some years. With a full Pentax CLA, I'd be
looking at £250 but I'

Ann,
I don't have time to get too deep into this, but this will start you
off:
You can drag and drop if the AHEAD software is installed, but the
catch is this: You need to be using a CD-RW disc (not a CD-R). Simply
put the CD-RW into the cd-recorder and then drag and drop files and

No, stop it, not another light meter thread. Last time I ended up buying
another meter. I can not afford this. Stop right now!
OTOH, I too recommend an incident light meter (no surprise there). I still
think you can not go wrong with the Sekonic L-308B II (my primary meter for
the past 10 years).
Well.., then, our stories match pretty well.

The will have to pass Detroit to get out of the lakes. So camp down on the
waterfront. I have to admit there are a few things I miss about my home

Have a great trip Jerome. That sounds like real fun. Have you ever read
'On The Road' by Jack Kerouac? Pick up a copy before you leave, and dip
into it of a night while you're sippin that late night coffee when you
know you shouldn't be and it's all warm and smellin real nice and the
waitress says
That's the plan. As someone (Larry?) said, I just got the one she's
used to and likes to use.
