The MX mirror bumper is about 2mm thick and the same width. The MX also has
narrower strips (1.75mm) on the sides and back of the top of the mirror box
as light seals.
The MX one should be 3mm as well. 2mm is definitely too thin.

I have a FA 28-70mm f/4.0 AL on the way to me (haven't seen it yet) and
it's presumably got some small (I hope) glitch in it's 'macro' feature.

Hi
I had bad experience with Kodak. I got back 3 (2
slides + 1 print) rolls processed from Kodak. My local
camera shop uses Kodak lab for developing; slides are
marked as developed by Kodak.
Slide film
One roll of slide had horiztoal scratch on each film.
Scratch ran parallel to longer edge.
In which way is the 4/28-70 "essentially" same as 2.8/28-70. And which kind of macro
feature the former has? Mine did not have any IIRC. The 4.0/28-70 is one very good
lens.
All the best!
