Bob, For jobs like this I've got a magnetic tray, about 8"x10" and the bottom lined with the same sort of magnetic mat that fridge magnets use. Came from a bargain store for very few dollars, as did a set of plastic tweezers with various shaped points that are perfect for repositioning tiny part
