I have this lens, along with the Sigma 28-105 2.4/4. The Sigma is lousy -- very soft, noticeable even on 4x6 photos -- really. The Pentax is a small, compact lens. Quality of images seems to be -- so far -- quite good. Very impressed with the color rendition. I still think my older 28-70 F/4 is

Tokina 80-200 2.8

2003-07-13 Thread Okipentax
I have considered purchasing the Pentax 80-200 2.8 for a while now, but the $1350 price, while I'm sure fair, isn't pocket change. Tokina's 80-200 can be had from the NYC dealers for about $599, and there is a $60 rebate available, bringing the cost to $540 or so. My question is this: Should I s

PZ1-P flash vs. handheld meter

Just got a Minolta meter -- the IV, with flash and ambient reading capability. Checked the TTL of my PZ1-P vs. the meter, and here's what I found: 1. The PZ-1P is consistently about 2/3 stop hotter with TTL than it needs to be... but it is consistent. 2. At closer ranges with a diffuser on th
