There is without question a magenta color cast, esp. the bird and the perch.
Opening it in PS and using a calibrated NEC LCD monitor, the M channel is
about 5-12 % points higher than Y, and about 10-20 % points higher than C.

I suppose the symmetry was missed because the house is such a focal point,
and the mountain somewhat blurry.
Perhaps, if you pass that way again, take the photo from a point more to the
right, so that the peak of the mountain is closer (measured horizontally) to

Maybe a small plastic crate - the kind they use to carry gallons of milk in,

I downloaded the image - it is still in RGB. Either convert to LAB and
adjust the curve in the L (luminosity) channel only, then re-convert to RGB,
or (what will be as good as the R, G & B channels are presently identical or
almost so) convert to Greyscale first and then adjust your curve. I d
"pecker pic"? Used to be fairly clean here ;-)

The one with the 70-150mm lens, though, is blurry - were you using a
tripod/monopod with it?

Now that looks real - the embedded black chips visibly display that they are
black chips and not sharpening artifacts, and the concrete surrounding the
chips is smooth.
IMHO the resizing did it.
