I'm using Windows Vista and have windows media 11 and also winamp
on the machine.
I have all filetypes selected within winamp, but can't seem to get
wmp to leave the mp3 files alone. I can't locate where to unselect
all filetypes so they will automatically play in winamp instead.

I asked this question yesterday with no response, so let me try
again and hopefully state the problem more clearly.
I have a desktop machine running Windows Vista and Windows Media
Player 11. I prefer winamp, so installed it on the machine and
under file types I selected all for the file associat
Hi,
Does anyone on the list have a recent Veronica 50 MW fm transmitter?
I'm trying to figure out just which tuning tool I need in order to
adjust the transmit frequency. Also, which screws do you remove to
get the unit out of the case or at least get the bottom exposed.
I use this transmitte

Just wondering if others have noticed more dropout when listening to baseball games on
mlb gameday audio? We moved and I had to switch from earthlink dsl
to sbcglobal dsl. Don't know if it's because I'm using it more now or if sbcglobal
has a tighter bandwidth or what, but the games seem to dr

I don't see why not. The xmpcr is just like any other receiver and once it's
activated, it acts like any receiver with the difference being that the channel and
other functions are controled by the pc. I can't imagine that xm would somehow
deactivate pcr units already purchased and in service.
Ray,
We have an xm receiver, the skifi with the home stereo kit. It does work into the aux
input of the stereo just fine. Also, I have a set of amplified speakers I
got one time with a computer which has since gone the way of old computers. I've run
the receiver through the amplified speaker
Has anyone here used the xm radio new online service? Wondering if you have to
install software on the pc to use it and if so, how accessible is the software?
Thanks,

Hi Jim,
On the bottom of the case there should be a small round hole located
approximately in the middle of the bottom cover.
My Veronica is a couple years old so the case design may have changed somewhat.
Anyway, you should be able to access the frequency control with a small
screwdriver thro
I have the xmpcr and also a Veronica fm transmitter.
The xmpcr runs off of a usb port on your computer and connects to the sound
card via the line input. Note that xmpcr does not connect to the internet in

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the responses. Certainly sounds a lot easier to tune with accuracy than
the Veronica. Hope the quality of the sound output is as good.
Thanks,

I have a question about the ccrane transmitter. I understand it has a couple of
buttons on the top for changing frequency.
Do these move the frequency up and down in increments, say 100 KHz? Or, do they
change the frequency in smaller steps?
Many receivers these days seem to scan the fm ban
Does anyone know where I can download the latest version of realplayer other than from
the real site itself?
I seem to have trouble installing it for some reason and wonder if I might do better
by just installing the executable locally rather than through their own controlled
environment.

Tim,
What I did was to go to radioshack and buy a small amplifier for around $20 I think.
It gave me a tremendous amount of gain, far more than I actually needed, so just set
the volume control on it at a low level. The amp is powered by a 9-volt
battery or you could get an AC adaptor.

I'm not totally certain of this, but I seem to recall that you can buy a replacement
antenna and it can be order through the xm online store. I think I saw it in
accessories or something similar. You could also try calling xm customer service.
