Music Recording Software for Apples

Anyone on this list who has an Apple or mac, what Apple/Mac software would you recommend for recording music and/or vocals? I'm planning to produce a demo tape for my wife, to put on a CD, and I was wondering if Goldwave has software written for the Apple/Mac platform? Richie _
