Hi everyone,
My name is Michael and I am 17 years old. I'm totally blind, and I make audio
recordings of trains. I am interested in putting a podcast together but I am
not too sure how to do it or what software programs to use. I currently have
SoundForge 7.0 on my computer, and it does ever
n source software then perhaps try
Audacity, was very nice when I last tried it on the PC.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for your reply. I currently use an Edirol R09 recorder with 2
Shure PG81 unidirectional mics, and I get good results with it. I am
hopefully getting a Sony PCMD50 later this year, so that should be fun.

Hi Andy,
Thanks for your reply. I cur
expensive audio editing applications, go for the "Total Recorder
Professional" edition which has the very nice editor.
If you want to do things with open source software then perhaps try
Audacity, was very nice when I last tried it on the PC.

That is an interesting question. I'm not sure...something worth looking into.

Don't remember where I got it from--one of the JAWS users or blind
geek websites--but MP3Tag works great for me.

Is that the ECM-MS907? I can vouch for the quality of the audio done using
it. The stereo separation is great for a one-point mic; it tends to distort
a little bit at high noise levels, but other than that...it's a great mic.
Oh, and yeah...I don't know if Sony has finally fixed the design, but I
That would be cool. Take your time, though--no rush for me.
