Notice I said the next generation of the Apple TV, not the current. If the
next generation will support third party apps as is rumored, the chances of
DLNA support is quite high so I disagree. I do agree however that the
current gen will probably never see it.

Hello list: I've just received a CD that I want to play; normally, Winamp
goes ahead and plays it; at least it used to be that Windows would ask me
what I wanted to do! But now, Express rip insists on coming up.and there
seems to be _no way_ to stop it! When it comes up, I can't just close it

There may be some changes in the next generation of Apple TV - if there is to
be a next generation - but I sincerely doubt that DLNA will be one of those
given that Apple considers the Apple TV perfectly capable of playing files from
different locations though this is done in a different way usi
Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me how I would find out where my Windows levels are set at?
I talked with an audio engineer who told me that when I record, the windows
level percentage should be set at 10%. I don't know where to go look to see
what my Windows is set at and how to change it. Thank
And wilst I think of it, there's an Update available for the Apple 2nd and 3rd
generations so you may wish to take advantage of this if you haven't already
done so.

You are missing my point.
I'm not saying that DLNA support might be one of the changes. I'm saying
that third party app support is rumored to be one of the big changes. If
third party app support is added in the next gen then the possibility is
high of seeing DLNA support via a third party app jus
Dan and list: I'm getting screwed up somehow; I'm doing what I think you
told me to do, but get entirely different results! I can get to the first
part "set defaults"...but then you are telling me to press "enter"...but
what I get is just a thing that says "link!! So I must be doing it wrong or
I actually got your point but the point is that you can't have DLNA on an Apple
TV if its closed so the third party App - for iPhone or whatever - can't get at
the Apple TV and I doubt Apple will change this.
I very much hope I'm wrong by the way as the Apple TV - in my opinion - is far
too res
Hi!
I've changed the subject line so we know exactly what the discussion is about
The audio levels I assume you're referring to here can be found in the Volume
control for Windows, you're using Windows 7 I take it?
If so then the volume control can be easily found by pressing the start key on
I think perhaps I made this harder than it should be.
If you type set default into the start menu search box the first result you
should see is set default programs. Press enter and tab once to see a list
of your programs. Arrow down to winamp and tab to the choose defaults
button and press ent
Hi Tom,
The answers Dan has given you are completely correct and will definitely
work. However as is often the case in Windows there are several ways to
achieve the same result.
Another method to fix this problem is to change settings in Winamp. When
in the main Winamp Window press Control+P

"not checked) so I tried to check it with space bar...nothing doing! So I
figured I'd try it anyhow. Good ole CD Express Rip insists on coming up
anyway! So what have I not done?

Is it possible Express Rip overrides other application settings? I got that
impression using Express Burn some time ago. If so, not very nice.

Check for any options in express rip that might be causing your dilemma. I
am not having the problem with express rip like you.I didn't see anything
about the express rip coming up when you inserted a disc.

I'm not sure if this is a jaws problem but it has happened in both jaws 14
and 15. When I have the winamp window open and a file is playing I can go
to another window and for no reason I have been able to figure out the focus
goes back to winamp. I was in a game and went to take my turn only

Hello list: If you've been following the thread where I'm wanting to get
Winamp to play my CDs, you may already know that Express Rip keeps coming
up. It was suggested that maybe I could go into the "options" menu of
Express Rip and change something. Well I've been in there and see no way to
