I'm not sure if you mean price wise, but in that case, I would say
quite good. We are now moving to a situation where you can buy a
$300/$500 recorder with components inside wich is werth a few hundreds
of dollars or more. And it is the among a few accessible options out
there. And the latest model

The 520 was about the same price as the 520 , and the sound is just as good
as the 520.
The only main difference is that the ls7 has a monitoring feature before
you record.
It also has three three mics.
The 520 has has two mics.

The Olympus LS-12 recorder appears to be fairly new. It has sound on
sound recording and a line-in jack. It is primarily designed for
musicians. It looks pretty good to me, any opinions?

Yes, the ls12 don't talk and it only have 2 mics wile the ls14 speak
and stil maintain the 3 mics. But those mics sound so close to the
ls100, that I think its stil as good option. Its stil a very quiet
recorder and can also record bloo ray quality. I stil wood want the
ls100 if I can, but I also j
The descriptions that I read of the LS-12 do state that it does have
voice guidance. They also say that the LS-12 and LS-14 are basically
the same, except that the LS-14 has a third middle microphone.

hey there!
well, I'm not sure for which one I'd like to go for at the moment, but the
LS 14 is smaller than the LS 100, but well, who knows in the future.
if the prise goes down on the ls100 I'll buy that or the ls14.

Did you check those on the American or Europe site? The same happened
with the dm620 and 650. The 620 can talk but not the 650.

Well, I went to the Olympus America site and under Specs, it stated yes
to the question of whether it has voice guidance. However, some other
reviews are conflicting with some saying it has it and some saying it
does not, so I guess I am still not clear on this point.
