I am glad you mention that, since I also discovered that something has
change with that program. Its not the same, mine work fine but it
doesn't allow me to create presets anymore. I am not sure in your case
either what the problem is, but the help file is really crap to say
the least.

What exactly do you want to do that requires commonality between
both systems please?

Hello everyone.
Please can anyone tell me if there is a way of adjusting the volume of things

Well I couldn't even get the menus to work; it would seem that they've
changed the interface and made it most inaccessible! Then again..it just
may be my computer that just isn't handling it correctlty!

I'd use one of the cloud services. I know Ubuntu One has a client for
both Mac and Windows, but I would assume Drop Box does as well.

Gary, just to say the help is very good but is very comprehensive which
may not suit you and anyone else. But it does suit me. Anyway, putting
that aside, do you have a boost setting in your microphone's volume. If
so have a play with that and see how you get on. Mine has a boost

Vicky,
I think it would depend on what program was used to create the documents and
what you wanted to do with the documents on each platform. From what I
understand, MS Office doesn't work on the Mac, but there are programs that
can read documents created by MS Word. What I'm not sure about
Hello Vicki,
As you say, Itunes on both systems shouldn't present a problem.
Pages is a word processor for the mac, and will read, and save
documents back in to word format.
You would use numbers, as a spreadsheet package if you want, it's
fairly accessible I believe, although completely differ

Well if what I am afraid has happened really _has_ happened (that they've

there's another good program that we can use that will accomplish the same

You can use the free program Freemake Video Converter which is available at:
www.freemake.com
You copy the link of the Youtube page then go to the opened program.
Next go to the edit menu and the only thing there is paste so enter on that.
Next go to the convert menu and choose which format to
I downloaded Fremake nnot long ago, but don't think I've ever tried it!
Looks like that's the one I'll have to use now! Thanks for the info!

I did get it to work, but couldn't explain to you just how I got the You

Well, I'm not sure how much talking about accessing music files on both
