Thanks to all who replied to my query. There was a power outage which lasted
from Wednesday evening till Friday evening. Anyhow, the problem still exists
because whatever the default is, being mono or stereo, I have the same problem.

I don't' know of any specific podcasts or audio presentations on fision, but
mayh I suggest a Google search using the key words fision and podcast with
the filetype operator. The syntax of a Google search might go "podcast
~fision filetype:mp3."
