Yes this is a problem in the UIA support provided by screen readers. If
you tell your screen reader not to use UIA support, Total Recorder
closes as normal.

1. Open wineyes.ini. This can be found in %appdata%\gw
micro\window-eyes\users\default. %appdata% is something you can type
into the run dialogue box. It should open either the roaming folder if
you are using Vista or 7 or application data in xp.
2. Look for the line "EnableUIA=1".
3. Change it
It should show up in the system tray as speakers I believe. You can also type
volume in the search field of start menu.and then arrow down to it.

Hi Chris.
What I found when I got there was a line that said
"default=default"
I edited the line and saved it.
When I rebooted the default line was put back by windoweyes.
It hasn't solved the problem.
It's probably a microsoft bug.

Tom, This is Vicky. I am interested in Tapin and your quest to get the
scheduler working with Jaws.
When you finally get it figured out, would you either write the list or me,

Hey Tom: There possibly could be a problem with that one subject line I had
used! If anybody else replies to that one, I'll change it and see if
that'll help!

I have definitely had this problem. Although I am a user of Window-Eyes
7.5.1, I continue to have this problem even when using either NVDA or
JFW. I thought initially it was because I was using Total Recorder
professional 8.1. However, when I upgraded to 8.3, the problem has
persisted. So s
