Basically its a small box which connects to a computer network and a TV, the
box allows you to stream content over your network and output that to your TV
and as a logical extension to that you can stream Internet content such as
Youtube video, netflicks content etc.

But somehow it's much simpler than this.

Yes it does and it comes with a large collection of stations from
several countries. I tried MaPlEr briefly and in my opinion it didn't
do a lot that other audio players such as Foobar2000 and Winamp already
do. Its one main strength is that it gives you very detailed control

Thanks Steve, I did try it and I agree, I will stick to Winamp.
If I start using my PC to listen to books some time in the future, I will use
it.
Be nice if they did a IPhone version.

I believe it also streams anything you can playing iTunes, which would
include audio as well as video. It has an HDMI and an optical audio output,
so you can also connect more than just your TV. Finally, it runs VoiceOver,
so you can control what you want to listen to from the Apple TV box and not
Hi everyone!
I was fortunate enough to see a Zoom H2 recorder yesterday. I have a Zoom H1

Yep I did consider buying a Zoom H2 but after seeing it? Well, I'm glad I saved
my money and put it towards the H4.

Hello all.
Version 5.6 is available. You can get it from www.winamp.com/player. I
use the Lite version.
I am only passing on information. I only updated this myself just now.
So can't comment on bugs or anything just yet.
Take care.

I certainly hope they've gotten rid of that awful way it notifies you for

Currently, movies that can be streamed via their watch instantly streaming

Mary,
For the most part, the newer receivers are pretty much menu driven with some
having dedicated buttons for certain things either on the remote and or the
front panel. Once you get them set up however, and memorize some of the
more commonly used buttons on the remote, it isn't too bad. The b
You need to disable the check for updates option under the Winamp
preferences. Once you do this, you won't get stuck any more.

Yup..it's already taken care of on my end! But I worry about folks who
download later versions of Winampp, not knowing that it behaves this way;
still..this is good advice!

There is a checkbox you can set to not notify you when there is an update.
It is in the preferences.

So, Rick. Are you saying that once you get your devices set up, the remote
is totally accessible for a blind user?
That would be neat if so.
Is there a particular model which is more accessible?

Hi, Mary. I tried this the other day with one of their HD titles assuming
that that would be 5.1 surround. What I got was two channel stereo. I could
use neo6 from my surround receiver which helped a bit, but it wasn't true

Hi, Rick. How much did that Harmony remote cost?
Is there a particular model number which is accessible for blind users once
you get it set up?
I have been thinking of getting a universal remote for a few years, but
didn't know if there was one I could use once set up.
Thanks.

I'm due to get hearing aids.
My question is, for those who do use hearing aids, will the music

will it sound the same as if you're not using hearing aids?
