Good day.
I'm looking for some recommendations from you regarding the USB Sound Cards.
Do you have any experience with/opinions about Turtle Beach Amigo II and
Micro II USB Sound Cards.
Your replies will be appreciated.
Best,
Pawel.

I still think that one of the best USB sound devices I've ever used is the
Imic, plug it in and it works at very reasonable quality.
The device has been updated quite recently and I did read somewhere that it now
has digital i/o facilities as well as analogue, can anyone confirm this?
I've had

Hello Paul!
first I have a question for you, are you going to use this USB card for
regular listening to music, or are you going touse this to compose music, if
composing music, I recommend that you purchase the EMU 0404 sound card which
is small and easy to use.

Hi Jo,
Good choice . Go to www.winamp.com/player. I would go for Winamp
Lite unless you want extra capabilities like ripping and burning,
autotagging of songs, a media library, etc. Once installed there is a
small wizard that allows you to set up Winamp to be the default player
for your media

Hey John!
why don't you try this program free you tube to mp3 converter instead of
recording directly from you tube? you can get alot better results with that
program, cause it sill convert directly from the you tube sorce to mp3 for

Hi,
This card is going to be for the playback, mainly.
Your suggested card EMU 0404 is the PCI type, so it doesn't apply to my
question.
Is anyone using Amigo II card, any feedback, please?
Best,
Pawel.

hey paul!
it is both a PCI card and a USB card, but the USB card is like a box where
yoou can connect to your stereo. and you can connect it to every PC which
have USB.

I use to use a program called MP3 Mystic to stream the music from my computer
from anywhere. Something has gone wrong with the program and the designer has
given the program to someone else and doesn't say who. I am in need of a

I use total Recorder to do things like this and I have 2 sound cards, speech
comes out of 1 and my audio comes out of the other. There are various ways you
can set Total Recorder for this, you can set it to record a software stream
which is probably the best way for this type of situation or yo
The Imic has a switch which switches the input between line-in and microphone.
As for the "What you hear" option I don't remember so perhaps someone else may
be able to answer that but I'd be very surprised if it Didn't.

Well if you choose to get an Imic then for playback you can't really beat it
for the price, exceptional audio quality.

I put a DVD in and tried to play it with WMP on my windows 7 machine and
also on GOM Player. I couldn't figure out how to get it past the title
screen on either player. I don't know if either player will play the DVS
stream.

Hello David,
No, I don't have an external USB sound card.
But my computer does have two sound cards in it.
It has the SOUND MAX sound card which is integrated in to the motherboard.
And it also has a Sound Blaster Odicy 4 series sound card that I installed
myself.
Everything is going through it.
I don't think the imic has a what you hear option, just the mic or line in
option selectable by a
switch. On Sun, 25 Jul 2010 07:01:51 +1000, Dane Trethowan wrote:

I don't think he is talking about a DVS movie someone has ripped to mp3 or
ogg but an actual DVD that has the description track on it. I don't think
Winamp will play this. Years ago I had Real Player and it was supposed to
play these but I never had a DVD with the description track to try it on.
Good evening, Mario and List.
The GoldWave autogain function works very well in maximizing and leveling
gain throughout the audio recording. To effectuate autogain do the following
1. Type ctrl+a to ensure the entire audio file is selected.
2. Type alt+c to launch the effects menu.
3. Type "u"
Yeh, I think it's pretty straightforward. I do it on my H20 and e280 all of the
time. I'd suggest just following the instructions in the manual for your player
using the steps for a manual install. Basically, you're just unzipping the
Rockbox software and the voice menus to your player.
