Hi, i
Hello Brian,
I have that cassette deck, I can tell you what that knob is for.
It doesn't work with the USB interface.
That knob, controls the levels of the RCA analog output jacks.
Some preamps and receivers, are more sensitive then others.
This control knob, compensates for that.
Hope this helps.
Hi john, i am using the jack sockets as i had trouble with the usb.
if you turn the knob, do you get much difference. brian.

Right thanks for this, I'm not using JAWS but perhaps I can make some adaptions

Hi
I'm glad you've said that. I tried recording changing the know on my Ion and
I checked the db settings and it seemed that it was adjusting the level. It
was annoying as I couldn't get it set right. If what you say is right then
I'm not going to bother about using the knob, and record with co
High Brian,
All depending on the preamp and or receiver, you will hear it get louder or
softer when you turn the knob.
Some receivers and preamps won't let you hear the difference, so keep this
in mind whenever you decide to hook it up to a home stereo system.
My best regards.
John.
