So far, on my Vista laptop with a RealTech Sound chip, I can generate no
notes, but n my wife's Gateway laptop running Xp, the program works as
advertised.

Hi listers,
I just downloaded a couple of audio books, and unfortunately, the
person who converted these books didn't convert the files into a
single file for each cd, but left all the tracks converted as
individual tracks. All I want to do is to take these files, and place

Hi Nolan, and this sounds very very anoying!
First off I'm not on SF9, but still using SF7. I had issues rather like
this last year and found updating my soundcard driver to be the solution.
To make a general point, updating drivers for soundcards, video and keyboard
is a really good idea anyway

I'd like to be able to rip streaming audio that I hear on the web to
save it digitally as mp3 or whatever form it is being streamed. I know
this can be done but don't know what you need to do it or how to do it.

Yes, it actually works great with WE 7.01. But your point is a good one. I
wonder if one of those funky WE scripts is causing my file abort. Surely
not, but still, it's worth a thought.
Clearly, I've become the unrestrained paranoia poster boy. LOL
