Hi
1. Have you tried restarting the computer?
2. Have you tried playing just a regular audio cd that you know contains
content?
3. Maybe get an entirely new dvd rom drive. I have a computer here that's 7
or 8 years old and is running fine- so, if the main components stil work,
why change?

I would agree. There are a number of editors that do a fine job, but if they
don't have the features you need it doesn't make much difference which is the
most popular.
I know that Rick Harmond would agree that Goldwave is an excellent editor, and
for a majority of folks it will probably meet
Great to hear; you can get them anywhere. Just make sure they have the 3.5

I will be getting a lab top real soon.
I will be using it in a church setting.
But what I will be using it for, is to record the morning and evening

until you buy it. The least they could do is give you a week to play
with it at full length conversion.

Regarding naming of files.
If the recording is checked to convert to MP3, because it originally transmits
in Real Audio or some other format, I end up with no date in the file name. If

couldn't find a better program, in my view. But again, it's priced out of
the budgets of many. But thanks for reminding us about that one.
