Good morning,
I'm searching for ideas on a strange problem a friend has with his computer.
When he plays a CD in either drive it will play for a couple minutes and then
it stops and the computer locks up. He thinks it's some sort of buffer issue,
I have no idea where to even begin troubleshoo
I managed to get the CD Ripping selection back into view.

The easiest program is still Winamp, and, thankfully, it's still free.
The only thing Station Playlist does for you that Winamp doesn't is
offer you a very nice but expensive wrapper around very basic
functions. If you are happy enough with picking your own music,
managing your own collection, etc
good idea.

I am currently using a creative soundblaster Live, but find when I broadcast
audio and communicate with people via e.g. msn, I can't really hear jaws
propperly.
I know that if you use Winamp, you can turn down the volume of the music,
but for various reasons I am not using Winamp.
Hi.
You could just have doctor's dictation go into the computer and have it
mixed in with the other sounds in the sound card. She could hear doctor and
jaws both through both earphones. Has that been considered?

How about finding some worthwhile organization that erases them and
re-uses them. I don't know of any, but I'm sure people in
third-world/developing countries ar still using that technology and
would be pleased as punch to receive them.

most invaluable resources on the net for everything you could wish to

I think you might be right, because I have both the zenstone 512? and the

push down bar which is a pain. but it has the fm radio which i really
don't care about. So maybe there are different types out there that I do

Have you copied any music to the Zen Stone yet? If not, what music is it
playing, the samples that come with the player maybe?
I'm a bit confused as to what you're doing. Are you saying that when you
plug the Zen Stone in, you get a dialog that gives you several options,
including "play music"?
Thanks Nick. Would you, or anyone else for that matter, mind telling me how
to get JFW to work through the onboard soundcard, once I've enabled it?
Thanks for any and all the help.
All the best
