Is this software accessible?
What I mean to say is that Winamp is becoming a size now and even though I
registered to get the Pro version may be it's time to contemplate using
something else to do the same job.
Anyway can it be used with a screen-reader more particularly Window-Eyes?
Cheers

I bought the premium player so I could access extra content. I don't seem
to have had luck in all the time I've had the application. I suppose I'm
nuts to have struggled for so long, but I am sure someday I'll be able to
do more with it, so I keep the subscription up. .

Yes, but it has limitations that can only be removed by upgrading to the
"premium" player, for $19.95. For full detail, visit

Yes Andrea.
Its rather more accessible than winamp is.
Its much smaller and much faster.
So go to www.foobar2000.org or www.foobar2000.com.
Don't know which one that works.

No less so than the paid version. They both have pretty much the same
interface, which many people find accessible enough if a bit sluggish and
clumsy, with JAWS.

RQJ,
Of course, I've done that. But that solves only part of the problem. Under
the scheme you describe, the Windows system sounds are ALSO moved, along
with Realplayer's output, to the newly chosen default sound device. As I
stated in my original message, it seems there's no way to assign eith

My feeling is that you have to be at least a good intermediate Jaws user to use
Real Player with any level of competence. There are no actual scripts so it
means using the mouse (Jaws) cursor a lot.
If you enjoy tinkering, it will be lots of fun---if you get frustrated if
things don't work right
It has yep. But Apple and Microsoft aren't ever going to actually support
free open source stuff like vorbis out of the box. Your friend is gonna
have to use Winamp if she wants vorbis.

Don,
I can change menu options on the 200s with DSS-Player Plus. As much as I
know, you can only get it, if you have an Olympus recorder, with which
DSS-Player (standard version) is supplied. DSS-Player Plus is only
available as an an update (around $15) for DSS-Player standard version.

Hi. Well, there's that word again, "accessible". It might be accessible
to me, but not to you. The best way to know if a program is accessible, is
to just go ahead and try it out for your own self.

Hi Dana,
Well, moving the Windows event sounds probably isn't going to happen, and as
far as Real player goes,
that's one of the reasons I don't use it.
There are just too many accessible audio programs out there that are free,
and are much more flexible than Real player.
Good luck,
