Wendy! Are these standard audio CDs? In that case you could rip them
with something like CDEX available free from www.cdex.n3.net to MP3 then
burn them to new CDs.

I think what was being discussed was just narrated audio books. The

I am hoping some people on this list can help me out with a project. I've

Do you use Total Recorder by any chance? I had a problem one day with this

I thought nls was making it daisy format, which requires yet another

Hi Steve. Winamp is an MP3 media player, something like Windows Media and
Real Player. It seems like for me, it's pretty easy to use. I use it more

Well, I'm not sure on settings and stuff because you can either record from
two possible settings.
I guess I need to know the best settings to have TR on. When I tried
recording from a radio station, it didn't record. Also, I tried using the
timer, and it didn't do anything.

Hi, Caroline, total recorder is supposed to do this, as by default, the
turn off system events check box is checked in the system tab under
options by default. You want this off, because if you're recording
something you want to keep, you don't want the windows sounds mixed in
with the recording.

I use allofmp3 at times, but am not crazy of the way they name the tracks.
I'd rather download artist - track.mp3 formatted files without all the
underscores and info about bit rate and stuff like that. They should make
name customization a feature.
