hi. You need to run both the encoders and the server. Think of it like this. Your shoutcast server is your station's transmitter as it were. Without that, you can't get your station's signal out. So the encoders will work, but your broadcast won't go anywhere without a server to broadcast to.

i changed the subject line cause i need some info please. how would i go about using the above encoders would i need to run the shoutcast server and the encoders together or can i just run the encoders to broadcast? i am new at this and was wondering if someone could please help me out thanks
