Rob! If you burn MP3's onto a CD an older CD player probably won't
know what to do with it. I acquired my first regular CD player that will
play MP3's three years ago. I'm not even convinced that it's totally safe
to buy a CD player today and expect it to play MP3's.

Hi Rob,
The short answer is no. The cd player has to be able to read the mp3
disk. If it doesn't know what's on the cd, you'll just get noise.
